Board Actions

The board of education on Sept. 9:

  • Heard a Prop S update on current construction work;
  • Heard an update on Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) planning at early childhood, Parkwood and Willow Brook elementary schools and the Academy of Innovation at Remington; 
  • Approved paying $4,347,362.89 for regular bills;
  • Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for July 2025;
  • Approved paying $160,064.08 for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards;
  • Declared a list of items as surplus to be sold on the district’s GovDeals.com page;
  • Approved a resolution authorizing and directing the issuance, sale and delivery of $30,000,000 principal amount of general obligation bonds, Series 2025;
  • Lodged for action the revisions to policies GDBC-R-2 (Sick Pay - Support Staff), GDBC-R-4 (Support Staff Leave), GDBE-R-1 (Support Staff Vacations), GDBE-R-2 (Support Staff Holidays) and GDE-R (Support Staff/Substitute Staff); a vote is expected during the Oct. 14 board meeting;
  • Approved, as lodged for action on Aug. 12, the revisions to policies GBB-R-1 (Professional Studies Ground Rules) and GCN-R (Evaluations of Certificated Staff);
  • Approved the renewal agreement with Transportation Solutions Services Inc., dba Axel, for the 2025-2026 school year for an estimated $400,000;
  • Approved the proposal from Reinhold Electric to establish power to the digital sign at Holman Middle School and any future lighted sign at the Pattonville Learning Center for $21,500; and
  • Approved Voya as the district's medical stop-loss carrier at an estimated 15-month premium of $1,399,008.

Retirements

  • Gregory Brooks, evening custodian at the high school, after serving Pattonville for nine years
  • Donald Labbe, maintenance supervisor, after serving Pattonville for 24 years
  • Julie Purviance, food service coordinator at the Learning Center, after serving Pattonville for 25 years
  • Jason Van Beers, principal at Drummond, after serving Pattonville for 23 years
