Board Actions 

The board of education on March 10:

  • Heard a Prop S update on current construction work;
  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the students in transition program; read the report or view the presentation;
  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s transportation program; read the report or view the presentation;
  • Approved paying $1,109,342.39 for regular bills;
  • Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for January 2026;
  • Approved paying $93,105.41 for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards;
  • Approved investments for January 2026;
  • Approved the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract amendment No. 9 for $3,041,489 and No. 10 for 2,501,219; the total combined contract sum of amendments 1 through 10 and the owner change orders guaranteed by the construction manager not to exceed $80,814,219;
  • Approved the maintenance agreement with the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) for a bioretention pond at the Academy of Innovation at Remington School and Pattonville High School;
  • Approved the administrator/program director salary ranges, and the philosophy/guidelines for the 2026-2027 school year;
  • Approved, as lodged for action on Feb. 10, the adoption of policies GBEBC (Criminal Background Checks) and KDA (Custodial And Noncustodial Parents); revisions to policies GDLC-R (BOE/ADM and PESP Committee Procedures), IB (Academic Freedom), IGDB (Student Publications), and KK (Visitors to District Property/Events); and the rescission of policy EBBB (Accident Report Forms); 
  • Approved the purchase of furniture for Pattonville High School from Office Essentials for $60,023.64;
  • Awarded the bid for pool maintenance at Pattonville High School to Landmark Aquatic for $25,850;
  • Approved the purchase and installation of a playground at Bridgeway Elementary School from Hutchinson Recreation and Design for $261,698;
  • Awarded the bid for the purchase and installation of fencing at the Academy of Innovation at Remington for $25,749;
  • Approved Bond Architects as the most qualified firm to provide design and drawings to modify existing dry storage to new cooler/freezer assembly at Pattonville Heights Middle School and authorize the chief financial officer to negotiate and enter into an agreement; and
  • Awarded the bid for sections of roof replacement at Parkwood Elementary School and Pattonville High School to RSS Roofing for $591,728.

  • Denise Overman, kindergarten teacher at Remington, after serving Pattonville for 27 years
  • Thomas Samples, lead maintenance journeyman in maintenance, after serving Pattonville for 10 years
  • Martha Savage, bus driver in transportation, after serving Pattonville for five years
  • Edward Stevens, history teacher at Holman, after serving Pattonville for 27 years
