Board Actions 

The board of education on July 22:

  • Heard a Prop S update on current construction work;
  • Reviewed and accepted the 2025-2026 board of education committee assignments;
  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s professional development program; view the presentation;
  • Approved paying $3,025,224.45 for regular bills;
  • Approved meal prices for the 2025-2026 school year; breakfast remains free for all students, elementary lunch is $3.05and secondary lunch is $3.20;
  • Lodged for action the revisions to policy BBA (School Board Powers and Duties); a vote is expected during the Aug. 12 board meeting;
  • Approved the contract with Special School District (SSD) for substitute personnel services for the 2025-2026 school year;
  • Approved the recommended number of paraprofessionals for the 2025-2026 school year;
  • Approved, as lodged for action on June 10, the revisions to policies DFAA (Revenues from Investment/Use of Surplus Funds), DJFA (Federal Programs and Projects) and IGBCA (Programs for Homeless Students); 
  • Approved, as lodged for action on May 13, the 2024-2025 budget revisions;
  • Approved the annual contract for phone system software maintenance and support with Mitel Software Assurance for $16,320.14;
  • Approved the contract for professional development services at Parkwood Elementary School with Core Collaborative for $32,000;
  • Approved the purchase of furniture for Parkwood from MBI, Inc., for $35,222.75;
  • Approved the replacement of science probes for the Pattonville High School science department with Bluetooth capability to ensure full functionality with the iPad transition from Ward Science for $22,638.26; and
  • Approved the contract to renovate room 410 at Drummond Elementary School due to class size needs to GRP Wegman for $120,500.
