Notes from the Feb. 10 board meeting

Board Actions 

The board of education on Feb. 10:

  • Heard a Prop S update on current construction work;
  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s school-community relations program; read the report or view the presentation;
  • Approved paying $4,227,871.27 for regular bills;
  • Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for December 2025;
  • Approved paying $75,514.91 for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards;
  • Approved investments for December 2025;
  • Award the bid for the sale of surplus laptops to TekSavers for Bid Package No. 1 for a guaranteed minimum estimated value of $307,608 and Diamond Assets for Bid Package No. 2 for a guaranteed minimum estimated value of $34,160;
  • Approved the pre-K tuition rates for the 2026-2027 school year;
  • Approved the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract amendment No. 8 with S.M. Wilson & Co. for $5,839,061; the total combined contract sum of amendments 1 through 8 and the owner change orders guaranteed by the construction manager not to exceed $75,271,510;
  • Lodged for action the adoption of policies GBEBC (Criminal Background Checks) and KDA (Custodial And Noncustodial Parents); revisions to policies GDLC-R (BOE/ADM and PESP Committee Procedures), IB (Academic Freedom), IGDB (Student Publications), and KK (Visitors to District Property/Events); and the rescission of policy EBBB (Accident Report Forms); a vote is expected at the March 10 meeting;
  • Approved, as lodged for action Jan. 13, the revisions to policies GCBB-R (Professional Staff Supplemental (Stipendary) Pay Plan) and GCI-R (Certificated Staff Assignment/Administrative Transfer of Certificated Personnel and Professional Advancement); 
  • Approved, as lodged for action Jan. 13, the student and staffing projections for the 2026-2027 school year;
  • Awarded the bid for a 2026 Ford Transit 350 Cargo Van for the print shop to Joe Machens Ford/Lincoln for $50,137;
  • Awarded the bid for the renewal of Aruba support to Provision Data Solutions through the NASPO Cooperative Contract for $23,201;
  • Approved the renewal of internet service with MOREnet for the period July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, for $12,141.72, with the option to renew for three additional years; and
  • Approved the proposal for AHERA (Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act) inspection and management plan services with Pinchin, LLC for $52,630.

  • Oscar McCoy, evening custodian, Holman
  • Mark Mossotti, director of safety, security and emergency management, Learning Center
  • Kristopher Worstell, assistant director of facilities, maintenance

Retirements

  • Joseph Firle, bus driver in transportation, after serving Pattonville for one year
  • Greg Cicotte, director of early childhood, after serving Pattonville for four years
  • Karen Martin, bus driver in transportation, after serving Pattonville for six years
  • Stephanie McCreary, district technology specialist at Willow Brook and Remington, after serving Pattonville for 24 years
  • Robert Pitman, maintenance journeyman, after serving Pattonville for nine years
