Pattonville names two administrators for 2026-2027 school year

The Pattonville Board of Education, on April 14, approved the selection of two administrators who will begin their roles on July 1.

Bridgeway Elementary School

Natasha Malone

Natasha Malone was selected as Bridgeway Elementary School’s administrative intern. Malone has 20 years of teaching experience. She is completing her ninth year as a teacher at Bridgeway. Prior to that, Malone taught in Alexandria Public Schools, the American International School Johannesburg (South Africa), the Department of Defense Dependent Schools (Japan), the Fountain-Fort Carson School District (Colorado) and the Jennings School District.

Malone has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Fontbonne University and master’s degrees in education from Regis University and teaching English as a second language from Webster University. She is currently working on her doctorate in educational leadership at Maryville.

Malone enters a position being vacated by Leslie Jones, who was selected for a principal position in another district. She will begin her role on July 24.

Pattonville High School

Katie Funderburk

Katie Funderburk was selected as an assistant principal at Pattonville High School. Funderburk is currently an English teacher at the high school with 15 years of experience, and she also serves as the assistant to the activities director. She has a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and media studies from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, as well as a master’s degree in teaching and a specialist certification in school administration from Lindenwood University.

Funderburk enters a position being vacated by Gene Grimshaw, who was named the principal at the high school. She will begin her role on July 1.
