Notes from the Aug. 11 board meeting

Board Actions 

The board of education on Aug. 11:

  • Heard a Prop S update on current construction work;
  • Heard an update on Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) planning at Bridgeway, Drummond and Rose Acres elementary schools;
  • Approved paying $6,438,302.49 for regular bills;
  • Approved paying $61,423.01 for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards;
  • Approved investments for June 2026;
  • Declared a list of items as surplus to be sold on the district’s GovDeals page;
  • Lodged for action the revisions to policies GDBF (Staff Health) and GDBF-R (Support Staff Health Appraisals); a vote is expected at the Sept. 8 meeting;
  • Approved the first amendment to the services agreement for before- and after- school services with Right At School, LLC, to add a new program site at the Pattonville Early Childhood Center anticipated to begin in January 2027;
  • Approved a resolution authorizing and directing the issuance, sale and delivery of $31,000,000 principal amount of general obligation bonds, Series 2026;
  • Approved the UMB Bank, N.A. organization resolutions and agreement for the district’s credit card program;
  • Awarded the contract for special inspections and materials testing services for the proposed storm shelter and cafeteria addition at Pattonville High School to UES Professional Solutions 25, LLC, for $72,500;
  • Authorized the funding of Pattonville's account with Eventlink to coordinate and pay officials that will be hired by Eventlink for the Pattonville High School athletic events during the 2026-2027 school year;
  • Approved the proposal from GRP Wegman to remove and install a replacement 7.5 hp hot water circulating boiler pump at Bridgeway Elementary School for $27,183; and
  • Approve the proposal by GMR Motorsport to replace the Mule utility task vehicle used by the Pattonville High School athletic department with a 2026 Polaris Ranger 1000 Crew Premium utility task vehicle for $15,000.

Retirement

  • Richard Cochran, evening lead custodian at Drummond, after serving Pattonville for 20 years
