Souza named administrative intern at Willow Brook Elementary School

The Pattonville Board of Education on July 23 approved the selection of Margo Souza as the administrative intern at Willow Brook Elementary School, effective July 24. The elementary administrative intern position is intended to develop and assist in the leadership and growth of aspiring building principals as well as creating additional support for students and staff.

Souza was previously a fourth grade teacher at Lonedell Elementary School in the Lonedell R-XIV School District, where she also served as a summer school principal in 2022. She began her career in education in South Carolina as a third and fifth grade teacher at Kingsbury Elementary School. Souza earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education from Maryville University and master’s degree in teaching and learning-leadership from Liberty University in Virginia. This year, she earned a master’s degree and is working towards her doctorate, both in educational leadership, from Maryville.

Souza will fill the position that was vacated by Taylor Koening, who took an assistant principal position in the Ladue School District.
