Pattonville celebrates homecoming
Pattonville pirates of all ages came out this weekend to celebrate homecoming. On Friday, Oct. 4, the Pirates played a strong match against the Seckman Jaguars but ultimately fell 27-13. During halftime, the drill team presented their traditional homecoming performance and the marching band and guard performed their award-winning show about Amelia Earhart. Also during halftime, the homecoming court was presented and seniors Hannah Fisbeck and Ellis North were named queen and king, respectively. The cheerleaders also pepped the crowd throughout the game.
Saturday, Oct. 5 started off with a K-8 half mile fun run. At 10 a.m., the annual homecoming parade begin. Floats matched this year’s homecoming theme: Together Through the Seasons. Before the parade started, all of the floats were judged, with the following groups receiving honors:
- Green and White (best community float) - Willow Brook Elementary School
- Traveling Trophy (best elementary/middle school float) - Academy of Innovation at Remington
- Outstanding Class Float - Senior Class
- Pete’s Pick (Outstanding student club/organization/sport float) - high school Thespian troupe
- Outstanding Theme - Drummond Elementary School
