Board Actions 

The board of education on May 13:

  • Heard a Prop S update on current construction work;
  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s Title I program; read the report or view the presentation;
  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s English learner (EL) program; read the report or view the presentation;
  • Approved paying $3,225,840.02 for regular bills;
  • Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for March 2025;
  • Approved paying $149,445.21 for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of 1% (or $1,494.45);
  • Lodged for action the 2024-2025 budget revisions; a vote is expected at the June 10 meeting;
  • Approved the economic agreement for the 2025-2026 school year with the Pattonville Educational Support Professionals (PESP);
  • Approved the May 2025 transportation route miles for the 2024-2025 school year;
  • Approved the contract with  Special School District (SSD) for general education Services for homebound students for the 2025-2026 school year;
  • Approved 60% payment of dues to EducationPlus for the 2025-2026 annual membership dues for $21,774.19;
  • Approved, as lodged for action on April 8, the review of policies BHA (Board Member Orientation, Training, and Development) and JFCE (Secret Organizations); revisions to policies BF (Board Policy Development), DLB (Salary Deductions) and JEDB (Student Dismissal Precautions); and rescission of policies DLBA (Tax-Sheltered Annuities and Deferred Compensation Plans) and DLBA-R (Regulations for Payroll Deductions Tax-Sheltered Annuity/Deferred Compensation Plans);
  • Approved the renewal of Dreambox math licenses for June 30, 2025, through June 29, 2026, for $63,181;
  • Approved the renewal of the Seesaw Learning Platform agreement for $86,118;
  • Approved the agreement with Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA) for services for personalized learning work at the Academy of Innovation at Remington and Pattonville High School for the 2025-2026 school year for $222,970;
  • Approved the plan design and premiums of the district's health insurance for a 15-month plan for the 2025-2026 school year;
  • Approved the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract amendment #7 with S.M. Wilson;
  • Awarded the bid for repairs to storm drain at Willow Brook Elementary School to Linek Plumbing for $35,750;
  • Approved the purchase of asbestos abatement and disposal at the print shop and Alpha area at Holman Middle School from Midwest Service Group for $66,104;
  • Approved the purchase of support staff devices — 245 Macbook Air laptops — from Apple Inc. for $261,660;
  • Approved the purchase of replacement laptops and iPads for technology services staff from Apple Inc. for $39,702.90;
  • Awarded the bid for the purchase of digital pencils to Amazon Business for $35,954.26;
  • Approved the purchase of classroom and art room furniture from Modern Business Interiors for $35,456.97;
  • Approved the purchase of additional classroom and miscellaneous furniture for Bridgeway Elementary School from Modern Business Interiors for $26,572.63; and
  • Awarded the bid for 165 cases of floor finish to Buckeye Cleaning Center for $17,694.60;
