Board Actions
The board of education on June 10:
- Heard a Prop S update on current construction work;
- Reviewed and approved the budget for the 2025-2026 school year; read the report or view the presentation;
- Approved paying $2,691,138.99 for regular bills;
- Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for April and May 2025;
- Approved paying $185,275.90 for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of 1% (or $1,852.76);
- Declared the textbooks listed as surplus and authorize these books be put out for bid to used textbook companies for purchase;
- Approved the resolution authorizing disbursement of funds for the 2025-2026 school year;
- Approved the 2025-2026 grants; see the list;
- Approved curriculum course change recommendations for the 2025-2026 school year;
- Adopted instructional materials for 6-12 math education for $574,136;
- Lodged for action the revisions to policies DFAA (Revenues from Investment/Use of Surplus Funds), DJFA (Federal Programs and Projects) and IGBCA (Programs for Homeless Students); a vote is expected during the July 22 board meeting;
- Approved revisions to Pattonville School District's 2025-2026 student behavior guides;
- Approved the renewal agreement with PowerSchool and BusinessPlus for software and support services for July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, for $148,384.37;
- Approved the renewal agreement with Mosyle for software and support services for July 9, 2025, through July 8, 2026, for $49,500;
- Approved the renewal of the food service management company (FSMC) costs plus fee agreement with Chartwells for July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, for $2,100,000;
- Approved the purchase of content filtering and student monitoring services from Securly, Inc., for $67,274;
- Accepted the renewal of the Canvas Learning Management System subscription from Instructure for $30,360;
- Approved the renewal of malware and virus monitoring software from SentinelOne for $17,563.87;
- Approved the CLSS point-to-point fire safety alarm monitoring service with Tech Electronics at a monthly cost of $1,587 (an annual cost of $19,044) through TIPS cooperative bids;
- Accepted Waste Management’s proposal for waste hauling and single-stream recycling for an annual cost of $80,797.50 with an annual renewal of 5% for the following four years; accepted Total Organics’s proposal for composting for an annual cost of $13,248.90; and authorized the chief financial officer to negotiate and enter into agreements for the same;
- Approved the purchase and installation of furniture through district budgeted and bond funds for Rose Acres Elementary School, Holman Middle School and ALPHA from MBI for $257,103.84;
- Approved Cintas Corporation for the annual inspection of fire alarms, strobes and fire extinguishers for $18,415.79 for alarm and strobe inspections, and $8,670.85 for fire extinguishers through the Omnia Cooperative;
- Approved Bond Architects as the most qualified firm to provide restroom renovations and non-floor level janitorial sink upgrades districtwide and authorize the chief financial officer to negotiate and enter into an agreement for the same;
- Awarded the bid for repairs and resurfacing of seven tennis courts at Pattonville High School to McConnell and Associates for $125,080; accepted an add alternate of $24,880 to replace seven net post footings; and authorized the chief financial officer to negotiate and enter into a contract based on the terms recommended;
- Awarded the bid for the replacement of approximately 14,000 square feet of carpet and 6,000 square feet of vinyl composition tile (VCT) to Stevens Flooring for $125,417.00 as base bid, with the authority to match existing flooring with appropriate carpet and VCT at an additional cost; and authorized the chief financial officer to negotiate and enter into a contract based on the terms recommended; and
- Approved the memorandum of understanding with IFM Community Medicine to form a collaborative working relationship to connect residents with medical services with the district compensating IFM $20,000 per year to be reimbursed through a grant from the state.
