Board Actions 

The board of education on Feb. 11:

  • Heard a Prop S update on current construction work;
  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s school-community relations program; read the report or view the presentation;
  • Approved paying $4,474,483.52 for regular bills;
  • Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for December 2024;
  • Approved paying $85,406.47 for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of 1% (or $854.06);
  • Declared a list of items as surplus to be sold on the district’s GovDeals.com page;
  • Approved the maintenance agreement with the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) for a bioretention pond at Pattonville Heights Middle School;
  • Approved the economic agreement with the Pattonville National Education Association (PNEA);
  • Approved the employment of certified staff for the 2025-2026 school year;
  • Lodged for action the student and staffing projections for the 2025-2026 school year; a vote is expected at the March 11 meeting;
  • Lodged for action the revisions to policies IC-ICA (School Year/School Calendar), IGBI (Homeschooling), JED (Student Attendance) and JHDF (Suicide Awareness and Prevention); a vote is expected during the March 11 board meeting;
  • Readopt a resolution declaring the month of March 2025 as Music in Our Schools Month in the Pattonville School District; read the resolution;
  • Readopt a resolution declaring the month of March 2025 as Youth Arts Month in the Pattonville School District; read the resolution;
  • Approved, as lodged for action on Jan. 14, revisions to policy JGD (Student Suspension and Expulsion);
  • Approved the lawn mowing renewal agreement with Broyles Lawn Care for March 13, 2025, to Dec. 13, 2025, for an estimated $79,000;
  • Approved the turf maintenance renewal agreement with Spectrum Lawn and Tree Care for March 15, 2025, to March 14, 2026, for an estimated $51,633;
  • Awarded the quote for whiteboards for inventory to Modern Business Interiors for $15,842;
  • Approved the purchase and installation of four electronic signs (one each at Bridgeway and Parkwood elementary schools, Holman Middle School and Pattonville High School) from Daktronics for $201,585;
  • Approved the purchase of band uniforms from Demoulin Brothers and Company for $173,397.64;
  • Awarded the quote for a truckload of copy paper (840 cartons) to Office Essentials for $25,593.60;
  • Approved the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Contract Amendment #6 with S.M. Wilson & Co.;
  • Approved the purchase of the playground installation, turf play surface and related site work at Willow Brook Elementary School from Cunningham Recreation for $312,421.90;
  • Approved the purchase of school to home communication services from Bloomz in the total award amount of $20,604.71;
  • Approved Bond Architects as the most qualified firm to provide safety improvements to entry vestibules and authorize the chief financial officer to negotiate and enter into an agreement for the same; and
  • Approved the agreement with the Family Arena for the license agreement for Pattonville High School graduation on May 29, 2025.

  • Michele Hill, English learner teacher at Remington, after serving Pattonville for 22 years
  • Brenda Kelch, kindergarten teacher at Drummond, after serving Pattonville for 10 years
  • Kelly Strobel, science teacher at Pattonville Heights, after serving Pattonville for 29 years
  • Laura Waisner, history teacher at Holman, after serving Pattonville for 29 years
  • David Winslow, director of facilities at the Learning Center, after serving Pattonville for 20 years
