Board Actions 

The board of education on Aug. 13:

• Heard a Prop S update on current construction work;
• Heard an update on Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) planning at Bridgeway, Drummond and Rose Acres elementary schools;
• Approved paying $6,489,976.16 for regular bills;
• Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for June 2024;
• Approved paying $134,798.10 for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of 1% (or $1,347.98);
• Declared a list of items as surplus to be sold through competitive bidding;
• Readopted policy BBFA (Board Member Conflict of Interest and Financial Disclosure);
• Approved the purchase of decodable books for elementary use in small groups with students from Academic Therapy Publications/High Noon Books for $61,392;
• Approved the renewal of the Learning Management System (LMS) with Empower Learning LLC., for a period of three years (2025 through 2028) for an estimated award amount of $72,000;
• Approved the purchase of the Ellevation License Renewal from Curriculum Associates, LLC., for $18,048;
• Accepted the quote for mental health services from the Cook Center for Human Connection for $39,000;
• Approved the purchase and installation of outdoor classroom furniture at Bridgeway Elementary School from Modern Business Interiors for $37,661.14;
• Awarded the quote for purchase and installation of playground chips and districtwide ground mulch to Express Mulch Company for $29,750;
• Approved the purchase and installation of library furniture at Willow Brook Elementary School from Modern Business Interiors for $35,008.91; and
• Approved the purchase of video screens and mounting hardware from Kansas City Audio Visual (KCAV) for $32,177.77.
