Board Actions
The board of education on April 8:
- Heard a Prop S update on current construction work;
- Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s safety and facilities programs; read the facilities report, view the facilities presentation, read the safety report or view the safety presentation;
- Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s food service programs; read the report or view the presentation;
- Approved paying $1,294,099.67 for regular bills;
- Approved paying $112,945.61 for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of 1% (or $1,129.46);
- Declared a list of items as surplus to be sold on the district’s GovDeals.com page;
- Approved adjustments to the 2024-2025 district calendar; see the calendar changes;
- Lodged for action the review of policies BHA (Board Member Orientation, Training, and Development) and JFCE (Secret Organizations); revisions to policies BF (Board Policy Development), DLB (Salary Deductions) and JEDB (Student Dismissal Precautions); and rescission of policies DLBA (Tax-Sheltered Annuities and Deferred Compensation Plans) and DLBA-R (Regulations for Payroll Deductions Tax-Sheltered Annuity/Deferred Compensation Plans); a vote is expected during the May 13 board meeting;
- Approved paying $11,545 to Missouri School Boards' Association (MSBA) for 2025-2026 membership dues;
- Approved, as lodged for action on March 11, revisions to policies EB (Safety Program), EBA (Buildings and Grounds Inspections), IA (Instructional Goals/Priority Objective) ID (School Day), and the rescission of policies DM (Cash in School Buildings), EC (Building and Grounds Maintenance) and ECA (Buildings and Ground Security);
- Approved the execution and delivery of a master lease purchase agreement and Schedule No. 11 for 2,100 Apple iPad Airs (Grades 9-12) not to exceed $1,858,475.00, with a zero-interest lease term of up to four years;
- Awarded the bid for 25 new digital time clocks for the Frontline time and attendance system for $88,071, and a two-year full replacement maintenance agreement for July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027;
- Approved the purchase of new consumables for students that go along with the Being a Reader and Being a Writer program being implemented for the upcoming year with Collaborative Classroom for $56,157.20;
- Approved the purchase of student books — Bridges in Mathematics Program — and other consumables with The Math Learning Center for $31,555,44; and
- Approved the purchase of a playground equipment for the Pattonville High School play school program to Playground Equipment Professionals for $15,673.
