Pattonville director of school-community relations announces she will retire at end of school year

Dear Pattonville friends,

It is with mixed emotions that I share the news that I have decided to retire at the end of the 2021-2022 school year. When I was a newspaper reporter/editor early in my career, I decided if I ever ventured into the world of public relations, it would be for something I could believe in, somewhere I could help others and make a difference. Pattonville and the students we serve offered me that purpose, and I couldn’t be prouder of the work we have done together to support our students, families, staff and community.

This school year marks my 29th year in school public relations, and it’s been my privilege and honor to serve the past 25 years in Pattonville. I will always cherish being part of a school community that loves its students, staff and community so deeply, for being able to play a role in ensuring our students succeed and have a safe, caring place to learn and grow. Pattonville is a special place, and it will always be special to me, and I look forward to watching you continue to grow and thrive in the years ahead.

Thank you for all your support over the years.

Sincerely,

Mickey Schoonover, APR
