Schools plan end-of-year parades for students

Tuesday, May 26, was officially the last day of school for students in the Pattonville School District. Teachers and staff members at Early Childhood, Bridgeway, Remington Traditional, Parkwood, Rose Acres and Willow Brook organized end-of-the-year parades as a farewell to students. While most schools held their events in a parking lot, Willow Brook hit the streets and drove through the neighborhoods.

Staff members at Willow Brook Elementary School drove through neighborhoods Tuesday afternoon in a 50-car caravan honking their horns and waving to kids as they passed by families’ homes. With music blaring from some cars and others that were decorated with messages for their students, families were able to see their educators during an end-of-the-year parade.
