New Student and Families Survey

Throughout the 2025-26 school year, the Pattonville School District invited families with students new to Pattonville to participate in brief pulse surveys. Approximately three to four weeks after a new student started in Pattonville — including kindergarten — they received the survey to get a better understanding of how families are adjusting. Additionally, feedback helped determine whether students and families needed additional support at their new school. The final results reflect many positive experiences. Overall, families reported a positive transition into Pattonville, with strong feedback related to students feeling welcomed and supported, school communication, peer relationships, adult support and academic and social-emotional support. Areas that continued attention would be provided included additional support with peer relationships and school adjustment; attention to individual academic or social-emotional needs; and requests for information about school routines and resources.

Every piece of feedback is reviewed by the high school and district administration. Feedback from our new families allows us to see how people new to our community see and engage with our schools so we can ensure we are creating an open and supportive learning environment for all.
