Pulse Survey Feedback
Throughout the 2025-26 school year, the Pattonville School District invited randomly selected parents, guardians and high school students to participate in brief pulse surveys. These regular check-ins gave our community an opportunity to identify what is working well, recommend meaningful changes and rate their overall experience in Pattonville.The final results reflect many positive experiences while also identifying areas that deserve continued attention and improvement.
Survey Information
How Surveys Were Conducted
To ensure we consistently hear from our student body, we implemented a weekly check-in process that features:
- Random Selection: Each week, a randomly selected group of parents/guardians and a small group of students is invited to share their honest thoughts through a brief feedback form.
- Actionable Feedback: Parents and guardians are asked about the district and high school students were asked about their school. Respondents were asked to share what they appreciate most about their experience, suggest one meaningful change and assign an overall letter grade to represent their experience.
- Staff Recognition: The survey included a "Shout-Out Corner" where families and students could recognize and celebrate staff members who have gone above and beyond for their child or family or encouraged them or made a positive impact on their day.
- Direct Follow-Up: Both parents and guardians and students were given the option to request a follow-up conversation regarding any concerns.
The Impact
Every piece of feedback is reviewed by the high school and district administration. By consistently listening to our families and our students, we are actively identifying successful practices and exploring new ideas to make Pattonville even better.
2025-2026 Survey Results
Parent/Guardian Survey
The parent/guardian pulse survey received 641 responses and came from every school in the district. Among the 486 participants who rated their overall Pattonville experience, approximately 92% of those respondents rated their experience in the A or B range. The district earned an average of 3.53 on a 4.0 scale, exceeding the district’s target of 3.00.
Areas of Appreciation
Families frequently expressed appreciation for Pattonville’s caring staff, welcoming and inclusive school communities, quality educational opportunities, family engagement, quality facilities, safety, extracurricular activities and student resources.
Areas of Improvement
Parents and guardians also offered constructive ideas, including improved school communication, higher academic expectations, additional student supports, smaller class sizes, better student behavior and discipline, school meals, transportation, adjusted school start times, technology, social-emotional support and consistency across schools.
Staff Shout Outs
The survey also gave families an opportunity to celebrate employees through the Shout-Out Corner. Parents and guardians survey respondents submitted 407 shout-outs, recognizing 339 individual staff members whose daily work has made a difference for their students and families.

Pattonville High School students also provided thoughtful feedback about their school experience. A total of 488 students participated, rating their high school experience an average of 3.17 on a 4.0 scale, also exceeding the district’s target of 3.00.
Areas of Appreciation
Students most often identified academics, supportive staff, extracurricular and after-school opportunities, student relationships, school culture and diversity as important strengths.
Areas of Improvement
Their suggestions for improvement frequently addressed facility cleanliness, student behavior, academics, food service, additional social-emotional support, relationships and continued school safety improvements. These responses show that students care about their school and want to help make it an even better place for learning.
Staff Shout Outs
Students submitted 385 staff shout-outs recognizing 149 individual employees or staff groups for providing encouragement, assistance and positive daily interactions.
