Cook Center for Human Connection

Pattonville is partnering with the Cook Center for Human Connection. The Cook Center offers parental support information to families in Pattonville through its Parent Guidance website. Families can access a library of resources that offer overview and deep dive videos, key facts, practical tips, related articles and upcoming live events on certain topics. Families can also sign up for one-on-one coaching, which involves connecting with a parent coach through confidential weekly or bi-weekly calls to address individual family needs. Additionally, each month, the Cook Center offers a series of webinars and an Ask a Therapist session. Webinars feature a variety of topics throughout the month and the Ask a Therapist sessions allow families to anonymously ask questions to a live therapist. These sessions are provided by the Cook Center and Pattonville will not be told who registered for which session. All resources and events are free.

Mental Health Series

Each month, the Cook Center will offer a series of webinars developed by licensed therapists. Events are virtual, interactive and designed to help caregivers support their child. Registration, attendance and interactions are anonymous from other viewers. Each session is offered twice a day at both 6 and 8 p.m. and many are offered in English and Spanish. Registration for the mental health series can be found here. Those registering will need to enter the state and school district name in the dropdowns. To sign up for a webinar, click the link under “Monthly Calendar.”

Ask a Therapist

Each month, the Cook Center hosts a live Ask a Therapist session which offers an opportunity for parents to engage directly with a licensed family therapist. Attendees can submit questions that are answered by a live therapist during the virtual meeting. Participation is anonymous and those who register for the live event will receive access to the replay. A unique registration link for that month’s meeting will be shared near the beginning of each month.

More information about each month’s events can be found below. For registration support, email info@cookcenter.org.
