About the SIGMA Program

Students in Gifted-Minded Activities

Students in the middle school gifted program (SIGMA) meet in a pull-out program in each of the district middle school locations: Holman, Pattonville Heights, and Remington Traditional. The scheduling of SIGMA services varies for each individual middle school location, in order to best meet the needs of gifted learners.

Students participate in coursework that emphasizes the following areas:

• critical and creative thinking

• inquiry & research

• oral & written communication

• logic and reasoning

• analytical reading & writing

• creative expression

• problem solving

• technology applications

• affective education & leadership
