Career Pathways and Courses

If hospitality and tourism is a career area of interest, programs in our Family Consumer Sciences Department could help you meet your goals.  Courses in the Physical Education Department might also be of interest.  Learn about these opportunities and link to more information here in the PHS Course Catalog or in each section below.

In the Culinary Arts pathway students begin with General Foods and continue on through culinary arts classes, earning food handler certificate and a ProStart ServeSafe Certificate. Students in Dietetics begin in General Foods and then take food science courses earning a American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Food Science Certificate.

Students interested in sports and recreation might also be interested in this career cluster. Pattonville offers a range of courses in the Physical Education which include courses like Sports Officiating, Outdoor Adventure Activities, and Aquatic Fitness and Lifeguarding.
