Portrait of a Graduate
Pirates are #VILLEMADE!
A Portrait of a Graduate represents a school district's vision for the 21st century skills, character traits, and/or social-emotional competencies that students need to succeed in college, career, and life.
Our Portrait of a Graduate embodies the essential qualities we strive to develop in every Pattonville student. These six core characteristics equip our graduates with the knowledge, skills, and character to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Pattonville Portrait of a Graduate
Pattonville students are individuals who demonstrate empathy, solve problems creatively, persevere through challenges, embrace new ideas, communicate effectively, and work successfully with others. Our graduates learn to exemplify these characteristics:

Portrait of a Graduate Committee
In the 2023-24 school year, a diverse committee comprised of teachers, students, parents, community members, and administrators embarked on a two-year journey to define the essential qualities and skills we desire in our graduates. Student Gabby Kellner created the winning logo from a pool of student designs.
The committee continues its work in 2024-25, focusing on:
- Goal 1: Developing a marketing campaign to effectively promote the Portrait of a Graduate.
- Goal 2: Creating a comprehensive plan to integrate the Portrait of a Graduate into classroom instruction beginning in the 2025-26 school year.
