Dear Pattonville families and staff,
On Thursday, May 13, the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released updated mask-wearing guidance for people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The guidance states “Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal or territorial laws, rules and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.”
In accordance with guidance issued today by the St. Louis County Department of Public Health (DPH), Pattonville will continue to require the wearing of masks by students, staff and visitors while on campus or on the bus for the remainder of the current school year, which ends on May 27.
We will provide updated mask guidance for summer school, camps and staff working in district buildings during the summer months in the near future. Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we work together to keep our students and staff healthy and safe.
Sincerely,
Dr. Tim Pecoraro
Superintendent
