The Pattonville School District earned a 100 percent perfect score on the state's annual performance report (APR) and continues to rank among the highest performing public school districts in the St. Louis region and the state of Missouri. Pattonville was one of only two public school districts serving students in kindergarten through 12th grade in the St. Louis region to earn this distinction.

"Pattonville's APR reflects an unwavering commitment to students by our staff and community," said Dr. Mike Fulton, Pattonville superintendent. "I'm proud of the work our school family has done to help ALL students succeed. Pattonville's ability to support students in achieving at high levels, regardless of their challenges and previous experience, is uncommon and to be celebrated. We look forward to continuing our work and finding even more ways to help all students be successful in life."

The APRs are part of Missouri's school accreditation system, which is known as the Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP). MSIP is the system used by DESE to review, accredit and recognize districts for academic performance. Based on a school district's performance on a set of five standards established by DESE, a district will be designated as accredited, provisionally accredited or unaccredited. The standards measured are:
  • Academic achievement - overall district performance on state standardized tests;
  • Subgroup achievement - the achievement of subgroups of students which includes African American/black students, Hispanic students, students eligible for free/reduced lunch, students with limited English proficiency and students with special education needs;
  • College and career readiness;
  • Attendance rate; and
  • Graduation rate.
Pattonville's student achievement results are above state average in all content areas, with scores in English language arts and science at historic levels. The district also saw improvement in the area of college and career readiness and its four-year graduation rate. In addition, when comparing Pattonville's state assessment results to the Missouri average, Pattonville's scores in English language arts and science are at historic levels (the largest difference on record between Pattonville's performance and the state). In addition, the performance of subgroups of Pattonville students exceeds state averages by a large margin in all areas.
