Nearly 500 students from St. Louis County auditioned for spots in the All District Choir. In each voice part, the Top 20 qualified to audition for the All State Choir. The Top 40 were chosen for the Honors Choir, and the next 50 for the Women’s Choir.  Twenty-two Pattonville High School students auditioned.

Tiffany Laughlin, a senior at Pattonville High School, was one of six area students honored at the 38th annual St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame banquet as a Future Soccer Star because of the many awards she has received playing for the Pattonville varsity girls soccer team. She also played in a few varsity football games as the kicker.  After graduation, Laughlin plans to attend Missouri State University where she received a soccer scholarship.

The Pattonville School District will host a “Pre-Candidate Forum” for persons interested in running for a seat on the Pattonville Board of Education. The forum is set from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17 at the Pattonville Learning Center, 11097 St. Charles Rock Road in St. Ann. Pattonville recently completed another year of OASIS training for the start of the district’s 19th year in the intergenerational tutoring program. The OASIS tutoring program trains volunteer senior adults to work one-on-one with children in the elementary schools.  The focus is on language, reading and writing skills.

The Pattonville School District received a limited number of doses of H1N1 flu vaccine from the St. Louis County Department of Health. Beginning next week, clinics will be held at Pattonville elementary schools to administer vaccines to students at those schools. Only students who already have signed consent forms on file at school will be given the vaccines.

The competition will be fierce, the enthusiasm high and the entertainment lively when the St. Louis Junior Rolling Rams, a wheelchair basketball team, challenges Pattonville staff members in the school’s 14th-annual benefit basketball game, on Thursday, Nov. 12. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. in the Pattonville High School gymnasium, 2497 Creve Coeur Mill Road in Maryland Heights.
