Thursday, October 8, 2009
The Pattonville K-8 Art Department has been selected to participate in the children’s art exhibit at the Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles.  More than 100 pieces of artwork by Pattonville students in kindergarten through eighth grade will be on exhibit from Oct. 11 through Dec. 9.

The Foundry Art Centre is a dynamic, interactive, interdisciplinary arts center dedicated to the creation and presentation of contemporary visual and performing arts. Selected Pattonville art students will have work displayed in the Baue Children’s Gallery, an art gallery and studio space designed especially for children and families.

A formal reception will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8 to honor and celebrate these young artists. Refreshments and live, student-performed music will be part of the festivities.

The Foundry Art Centre is located at 520 North Main Center in St. Charles. The center also includes innovative and challenging work by contemporary artists working in all media. Other professional exhibits will be available for viewing at the time of the student show. The center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and from noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. For more information, visit the Foundry’s Web site at www.foundryartcentre.org.
