School PR professionals named officers to state organization

Mickey Schoonover, director of school-community relations for the Pattonville School District, has been named president of the Missouri School Public Relations Association (MoSPRA).

MoSPRA is affiliated with the National School Public Relations Association, an organization that provides school communication training and services to school leaders throughout the United States, Canada, and the U.S. Dependent Schools worldwide. 

Schoonover has worked in the school public relations field for nine years, having started her career in the Wentzville School District. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Louisiana Tech University and has previous experience working in print journalism.
