A kindergarten teacher at Briar Crest Elementary in the Pattonville School District was recently surprised by a group of individuals bearing unexpected gifts. As a token of thanks, the team members delivered their away jerseys to faculty members who inspired them the most.(continued) “Superhero” PHS Homecoming set for Oct. 13 Pattonville High School will kick off its homecoming on Oct. 13 with a parade 10 a.m. The parade will begin at the intersection of Mark Twain Lane and McKelvey Road in Maryland Heights and proceed down McKelvey to the high school.(continued) Bridgeway students earn international award A group of students from Bridgeway Elementary in the Pattonville School District recently earned a first-place trophy and certificate from Kiwanis International for a service project they conducted.(continued) Pattonville seeking senior adult volunteers Students honored for exemplary attendance Thirty-two eighth-graders in the Pattonville School District have been honored for maintaining exemplary attendance during the 2006-07 school year.(continued) Pattonville cheerleaders take home multiple awards The varsity cheerleaders from Pattonville High School recently returned from the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) summer camp held at Southeast Missouri State University with a number of awards. The squad received the following awards:(continued) Pattonville students continue to score above state at all grade levels For the second year in a row, Pattonville students scored above state average at all grade levels on the communication arts and mathematics portions of the Missouri Assessment Program exams, based on its most recent scores on the 2007 tests. In at least half of the areas and grade levels tested, Pattonville students scored well above the state averages, with differences ranging between 10 and 16 percent.(continued) Pattonville seeking senior adult volunteers to help boost reading skills Pattonville appoints three administrators The Pattonville Board of Education made three appointments of administrators in June and July. The appointments became effective July 1.(continued) Bridgeway Elementary wins landscaping award Bridgeway Elementary School in the Pattonville School District is the recipient of a landscaping award from the city of Bridgeton.(continued) Pattonville board appoints 2 administrators The Pattonville Board of Education on May 22 appointed Dr. Tim Pecoraro as the new assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction for the Pattonville School District. Pecoraro will take the place of Dr. Mike Fulton, who was recently hired as Pattonville’s new superintendent of schools.(continued) Board appoints Pattonville’s new superintendent Dr. Mike Fulton will begin working as superintendent of the Pattonville School District beginning July 1, 2007. The Pattonville Board of Education unanimously selected Fulton for this leadership position on March 17 after an extensive selection process that began with 29 candidates.(continued)
Pattonville offers preschool classes Feb. 12 marks the start marks the start of the early childhood enrollment process for the Pattonville School District for the 2007-08 school year. Pattonville's early childhood program serves children, ages 3 to kindergarten entry and offers mostly half-day morning and afternoon options with a full-day program also available.(continued)Pattonville earns sixth consecutive Missouri The Pattonville School District recently learned that it has earned its sixth consecutive Distinction in Performance Award from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).(continued)
