Pattonville honors longtime OASIS tutors

Pattonville recently celebrated the completion of its 16th year in the intergenerational tutoring program sponsored by OASIS. Pattonville honored tutors who have been longtime volunteers in the district with a luncheon. Receiving special recognition were tutors who have reached five-, 10- and 15-year milestones of service.(continued)

Pattonville recognizes veterans with diplomas

Pattonville High School took time during recent commencement ceremonies to honor some of America’s veterans. Four honorary high school diplomas were awarded on May 31 to veterans who served during conflicts on foreign soil.(continued)

Pattonville student leaders earn national award
The Pattonville High School Student Council received the 2007 Gold Council of Excellence Award by the National Association of Student Councils. This award is for the exemplary record of leadership, service and activities that serve to improve the school and community.

Pattonville honors retiring staff members

The Pattonville School District recently honored 27 staff members who are retiring with School Bell Awards. These individuals were recognized during Pattonville’s recent District Appreciation Night. (continued)

Pattonville names Teacher of Year

A foreign language teacher from Pattonville Heights Middle School was recently named Pattonville Teacher of the Year. Chris Benbow was awarded with this honor in a surprise announcement during Pattonville’s recent District Appreciation Night. He will go on to represent Pattonville in the Missouri Teacher of the Year Awards program.(continued)

The call center clerk from the Pattonville Learning Center was recently named Pattonville Support Staff Employee of the Year. Joyce Bowdish was awarded this honor in a surprise announcement during Pattonville’s recent District Appreciation Night.(continued)

10 named Pride of Pattonville honorees

Ten parents, staff and volunteers in the Pattonville School District were recently honored for going above and beyond the call of duty in their service to Pattonville children. These individuals were recognized with a Pride of Pattonville Award during Pattonville’s recent District Appreciation Night.(continued)

Pattonville honors business partners

Pattonville recently honored two local businesses for being ongoing supporters of Pattonville’s students. The owners of Fortel’s Pizza Den in Bridgeton and Mr. Goodcents (DePaul Plaza Center) were recognized with the Pattonville School-Business Partnership of the Year Award during Pattonville’s recent District Appreciation Night.(continued)

Parkwood raises over $600 for Humane Society

Students, staff and families from Parkwood Elementary School in the Pattonville School District recently worked together to collect $625 for the Missouri Humane Society’s Maryland Heights branch. The idea for the fund-raiser came from the Parkwood Student Activities Council.(continued)

Pattonville Heights students get visit by Bond

Students from Pattonville Heights Middle School were recently joined by a special visitor when they made a trip to the Challenger Learning Center to learn about space exploration.(continued)

Pattonville board hires new food services director

The Pattonville Board of Education on May 8 hired Teree Davis as the district’s new director of food services. Davis currently serves as the interim director of food services and is in her 17th year working in Pattonville food services.(continued)

Pattonville schools make state's Top 10 lists three times

Two Pattonville schools recently were named to three of the state's "highest performing" Top 10 lists based on scores on the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) tests. The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education released the lists. The following Pattonville schools made the lists:

Parents As Teachers offers screenings

The Parents As Teachers (PAT) program of the Pattonville School District is now offering free health and developmental screenings for children ages 3 through 6 who are not yet in kindergarten. The screening provides parents and future kindergarten teachers with information that further supports children’s learning.(continued)
