Board Actions
The Board of Education on Sept. 11:
  • Reviewed an update on work by the Personalized Learning Committee;
  • Approved paying $3,173,532.04 for regular bills;
  • Declared a list of textbooks as surplus to be sold at auction on the district's GovDeals.com website;
  • Approved contract adjustments for bond issue projects in the net amount of $19,867;
  • Approved payment to EducationPlus for 60 percent of its 2018-2019 annual membership dues, which amounts to $19,322.95;
  • Awarded a bid for a 2018 Chevrolet Express 2500 cargo van for technology services to Don Brown Chevrolet for $22,457 (through a state contract); and
  • Approved a resolution reversing the operating levy voluntary rollbacks to meet operating revenue and tax levy goals established by voters with the passage of Proposition P in 2013; under Proposition P, the Pattonville Board of Education set a voluntary reduction to the residential tax rate; under a newer state law (137.073 RSMo.), the district must pass a motion each even-numbered year with the word "resolution" in it to reset the tax rate to what it was approved to be under Proposition P; the board can then reset the voluntary rollback as promised to taxpayers; this only applies to how the district sets future tax rates and there is no negative impact to Pattonville taxpayers for next year's rates.
